Give a student more time

The three controls

• The time limit: set per assessment, it runs per student from the moment they begin, enforced on the server.
• Late-join grace: lets students enter up to that many minutes after the opening time, with their timer starting on join. The grace must be shorter than the time limit.
• Mid-attempt extension: extend the deadline while the attempt is live. The new end time reaches the student's open session automatically; nothing restarts and no work is lost.
