Placement prep, every day.

Tracks in DSA, software development, placement prep and core engineering. A new problem every day, and a weekly league that keeps students coming back.

</>

Four tracks.

Every student starts with DSA and aptitude. ECE and EEE students also get the core track. Each lesson ends with a problem to solve.

Drive season

970

Practice problems across all four tracks.

Hidden tests
Every problem is marked against tests the student cannot see.
Hints
A nudge when they are stuck, never the answer.
Daily
A new problem every day, and a streak to keep.
Code editor with a Python solution to the longest substring problem and a results panel showing 8 of 8 tests passed: three sample cases and 5 of 5 hidden tests marked Pass.

The weekly league

Climb the ladder every week.

Students earn XP for every problem they solve. On Sunday the top three move up a league and the bottom three move down.

Ace, the AI tutor

Stuck? Ace gives a hint.

Ace reads the problem and the student's code, then asks the question that gets them unstuck. It never writes the solution.

More about Ace →

Longest substring without repeating characters

Student
My code returns 3 for "abba" but the answer is 2. Why is my window check wrong?
Ace
Walk it through by hand first. When right reaches the second "a" at index 3, where is left, and where did you last see "a"? Is that earlier "a" still inside your window?
Student
left is 2 and the last "a" was at index 0. So my code moves left back to 1?
Ace
Yes, that is the bug. Should a character you last saw before left be able to move left at all? Decide what your if needs to check, then rerun "abba".

Questions

Which languages can students code in?

Python, JavaScript, Java, C++ and C are switched on today. The code runner behind them supports more than 40 languages, and we switch on others for a college that needs them.

Does Ace give students the answer?

No. It gives hints and asks questions. It never writes the solution.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. On the web, and on the Assessly Android app, now in beta.

Can the placement cell see who's practicing?

Yes. Practice feeds each student's readiness score, which the placement cell sees by batch, department and section.

Every day, a little.

One problem a day adds up. By drive season, a student who kept the streak has solved hundreds.
