About Assessly
Assessly builds Blumvo, where students learn by doing and colleges teach, test and place them. We also research what helps students learn, and publish what we find.
About the team
Design decides how Blumvo looks, reads and works. Students, faculty and placement officers each use it differently, on laptops and on phones.
About the role
We need a designer who makes every screen clear, and keeps every screen consistent with the rest.
What you will do
- Design how students practice, sit a test and apply to a drive.
- Design the screens faculty and placement cells use every day.
- Own the look: type, colour, spacing, and the words on every button.
- Sketch, prototype and test with students and staff.
- Work with engineers on the details while they build, and review screens before they ship.
- Read what people asked for, and choose what to fix first.
Your first months
- Use Blumvo as a student, a faculty member and a placement officer, and list what is unclear.
- Redesign one flow end to end, and watch real people use it.
- Write down the rules every screen follows, so the next screen is quicker.
You may be a good fit if you
- Have a portfolio that shows the problem, your process and the result
- Design for the phone first
- Care about the words as much as the layout
- Can explain each choice in a sentence
Strong candidates may also have
- Prototyping in HTML and CSS, or in React
- Experience designing for students or teachers
- A design system others use

Logistics
Where you work: Remote, from anywhere in India.
Education: No degree needed. Your work and your answers count for more than where you studied.
Type: Full-time. When no role is open for your kind of work, we sometimes work with people on a contract.
