# Assessly

> Assessly is an AI evaluation platform for engineering teams and universities. It scores both code correctness (via sandboxed execution and test cases) and explanation clarity (via AI-graded written explanations) — so you know what developers build and how well they understand it.

Assessly is built for two audiences: engineering teams running technical interviews, and educational institutions running coding courses. The platform pairs deterministic test-case execution with AI evaluation of student/candidate explanations, producing a dual score that reveals true conceptual understanding.

Key concepts:
- **Dual scoring**: separate code score (test execution) and explanation score (AI grading), combined via instructor-defined weights.
- **AI credits**: institution-level monthly quota for AI evaluations; practice falls back to code-only when exhausted.
- **Self-hosted code execution**: 20+ language sandbox running on Piston/OCI infrastructure.
- **Anti-cheat**: fullscreen enforcement, tab-switch detection, AI-content detection, plagiarism checks.
- **Leagues & XP**: weekly leaderboard with tier-based progression for student engagement.
